Tourism With A Purpose

The concept of “Tourism with a Purpose.”

The coming together of like-minded people who are willing to travel to Rwanda in small, but organized groups of ten to twenty people, for the purpose of a cultural exchange. Participants would have a strong desire to understand more about the culture, the people, and their lives for the purpose of assisting them by providing resources in the support of educational opportunities by encouraging the Rwandan people to express their needs, and help themselves.

Purpose of the organization

The core purpose is to permit a cultural experience.

To attract people who have expressed their desire to help in a third world situation and participate in an outreach project.

To provide participants with opportunities to gain awareness and knowledge of Rwanda, the people and their ability to survive given some assistance and resources.

To encourage and motivate actions that would support the needs of Vunga School.

To appreciate the value of education as an instrument to create a better life for Rwandans.

For participants to recognize that they have an opprtunity to make a difference in the lives of others.

For participants to be motivated and seek creative ways to assist in the raising of funds for the benefit of sustaining the Vunga School finances, and/or for the benefit of the Diocese of Shyogwe’s educational needs.

To provide opportunities to establish relationships and connections with the leadership of the Vunga School and the Diocese of Shyogwe.

To create opportunities to experience and interact with the culture, the way of life and the people of Rwanda.
